Cheap upgrades for my Satria to slowly build it back to it's glory day. First off, alarm system was not longer working. I'm not pretty sure it was due to the remote controller or the module but I can super duper confirmed that the alarm system was with me for more than 15 years. Thus to me is time for me to replace it with a new one from Blaupunkt model CA2.0. There is no special features available from this alarm system and only comes with lock/unlock and vibration sensing. Due to it's limited features, it does come with a very friendly price tag which will cost you around RM130. I bought 2 sets though, 1 for my Satria and 1 for my Celica.

The installation was pretty easy and straight forward as it did come with an instruction manual. You just need to follow the wiring diagram in the instruction manual and you will able to get it installed. However once we removed the wiring under the dashboard, it was a mess. At the end, we need to tidy up everything to make sure there is no short circuit or bad wiring contact which eventually will caused serious damage like fire to the car. 

Second upgrade was replacing the deep dish steering wheel. To be frank, deep dish steering wheel is not my liking. It was damn pretty annoying that when I drove the car and wanted to trigger the signal, it was way to far from the steering wheel. So I changed it back to normal steering wheel and it definitely give me a better feel when driving my Satria. 

Lastly, the car player was totally outdated when compare to nowadays standard. It was pretty up to date when I installed it 15 years ago which it did comes with MP3 supported CD/DVD format. However it was not good enough for today standard. where I definitely need to have at least USB supported feature because I don't even own a CD/DVD burner now to burn new songs to CD/DVD and I believe is hard for us to find anyone selling CD/DVD right now too. Fortunately, my friend has an used Pioneer player with USB supported and he is kind enough to give it to me without any cost. It is FOC!
